Best Images 2014 (Tutor’s Choices) James Hay (iPhotography Student)

James’ ‘jellyfish’ image has been a topic of conversation many times amongst the iPhotography Tutors since back in April 2014, so is a very worthy winner. The detail, clarity, light and contrast within this shot is outstanding for such a difficult subject in an underwater scene.

The control and composition demonstrated within this image also adds to the depth. The dark, blue speckled emptiness contrasting against the bright white adds an almost space age, sci-fi feel to the scene – totally mesmerizing!

The dark blue against the intense white is so striking! We hope you continue photographing this subject, as we would love to see more from you in 2015.
