On the 12 days of Christmas iPhotography gave to me…

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…

In the build-up to Christmas, as chaos unfolds and the rush of buying last minute gifts begins, it’s easy to get yourself into a little bit of a photo rut and forget all about your trusty camera friend.

With so much wonder and sparkle at this time of year, we feel it would be a shame to miss out and waste the magical opportunities…

Consider:
Excited children, twinkling lights and the sweet smell of cinnamon in the air – there’s so many combinations and moments for you to capture and enjoy this season.

To get you into the festive spirit, here at iPhotography we have decided to do a Christmas countdown and introduce a fun daily challenge to honour the 12 Days of Christmas…

Each day will have a different theme, (very similar to our weekend challenges) and you can choose to do all 12 daily challenges, or just dip in and out of a few whenever you get a spare moment.

challenge photography 12 days of christmas

Each day’s challenge will have its own individual theme and hashtag (#), so you can use the hashtag (#) that matches the day (and theme) of your choice as your caption in the gallery.

Interpret the word/theme for the day however you wish, there are no strict rules, just have fun, get creative and enter into the festive spirit.

At the end of the 12 days, the tutors at iPhotography (with the help of Santa and our trusty elves), will choose the best image for each day and create a special tribute blog post to feature the selected winning student’s images.

If you are reading this blog post, then you’ll be pleased to know that you get a crafty head start by seeing a sneaky preview of what each day’s theme will be (see example images), so you get a little extra time to plan and prepare your shots.

Remember, whatever day you enter your image into the gallery, you must #hashtag the theme, if it is an entry for the Christmas challenge
i.e. Day 1: #Tradition.
